Five Pillars of Infrastructure
The Five Pillars of Infrastructure are the delivery lens in Stuart Andrews' Leadership Capability Architecture™ — the structural systems installed inside a growing organisation so leadership capability scales without the leader becoming the constraint. Together they turn leadership from a collection of individuals into a durable, compounding organisational asset.
They are distinct from the Five Structural Pillars, which are the diagnostic lens — the patterns scored in the Leadership Diagnostic. Each Infrastructure Pillar operationalises one or more Structural Pillars: the diagnostic identifies what is broken, and the infrastructure is what gets built to fix it.
- Leadership Operating System — the decision rights, governance, and rhythms that coordinate leadership.
- Embedded Development Pathways — structured routes that grow leaders inside the flow of work.
- Pipeline & Succession Architecture — the structure that produces internal leaders at every level.
- Culture-to-Execution Infrastructure — the mechanisms that convert intended culture into action.
- Scaling Mechanisms & Measurement — the systems that let capability scale and be measured.
