Five Pillars of Infrastructure
The Five Pillars of Infrastructure are the delivery lens in Stuart Andrews' Leadership Capability Architecture™, the structural systems installed inside a growing organisation so leadership capability scales without the leader becoming the constraint. Together they turn leadership from a collection of individuals into a durable, compounding organisational asset.
They are distinct from the Five Structural Pillars, which are the diagnostic lens, the patterns scored in the Leadership Diagnostic. Each Infrastructure Pillar operationalises one or more Structural Pillars: the diagnostic identifies what is broken, and the infrastructure is what gets built to fix it.
- Leadership Operating System: the decision rights, governance, and rhythms that coordinate leadership.
- Embedded Development Pathways: structured routes that grow leaders inside the flow of work.
- Pipeline & Succession Architecture: the structure that produces internal leaders at every level.
- Culture-to-Execution Infrastructure: the mechanisms that convert intended culture into action.
- Scaling Mechanisms & Measurement: the systems that let capability scale and be measured.
