Enterprise Leadership Capability
Enterprise leadership capability is an organisation's ability to produce leaders who can decide, lead through complexity and develop others at every level, from frontline teams to the executive suite, without depending on a few exceptional individuals. It describes the organisation, not any one leader.
It differs from leadership training, which delivers content to individuals and often fades once the programme ends. It also differs from executive coaching, which supports a single senior leader. Enterprise leadership capability is built by designing the capability the strategy requires, embedding it in management systems, operating rhythms and decision-making, and scaling it through the organisation.
Stuart Andrews works on this with Fortune 500 companies and scale-ups using Leadership Capability Architecture™, the Five Structural Pillars and the assessment suite. The Enterprise Leadership Capability page sets out how the work runs level by level.
